As you know I my self am looking forward to Maxis’s reboot of the SimCity franchise very much, and can’t wait for it to be in my grubby hands. But I came across some interesting news about SimCity while I was trawling the internet today.
This is definately some interesting news, and something that I would like to see be done right. But I have faith in EA to do this right. It has been announced that Electronic Arts has announced that it will be creating a website, SimCityEDU.org, that teachers who use SimCity for educational purposes can look to as a resource in the classroom. The SimCity EDU comes from a high demand to advance STEM education (science, technology, engineering and maths) with the help of EA’s City Building Simulator.
Yesterday, EA began the initiatives for its SimCity EDU with a meeting at the Washington DC, and a panel at the US Conference Of Mayors, where a discussion about hoe to advance STEM Learning with SimCity’s EDU’s
Also on January 21st the day President Barack Obama will be re-inaugurated in to the White House, EA will hold a Learn, Build, Create after party that will feature SimCity along with lots of celebrities and dignitaries and politicians. Why do they get there hands on it first that’s my question.
