Rockstar have previoulsy said while being interviewed whether they will ever go beyond there usual time period. The GTA writer and Lead Writer on Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3 said Rockstar would do so “the very second that we have an idea.”
“One of our strengths is the consistency of the game world,” added Houser. “We’re not necessarily the best writers in the world, but we know how to write a video game.” I have to certainly agree with that they have won countless awards for games they have brought out, the games that come out of Rockstar studios will never dissapoint and that is no over exageration.
Lets take a look back to Red Dead Redemption for a second. Now Red Dead Redemption was a huge success, but Houser said the only reason they chose the Western theme for the game is because “they had something to say.” So I guess if they haven’t got anything to say about flying cars and lasers and other futuristic stuff like living on spaceships then they won’t write a game for that setting. Lets just hope they do have something to say.
But I guess if you were hoping for all that they recently said during the interview that “We have no interest in going into science fiction for the sake of flying cars an laser guns,” so dreams crushed and burnt but thats not to say they won’t changee there mind because there is definately a market for it all.
