Ahead of the Sony major New York Event Today, the company has registered a series of domain names related to something to do with
PlayStation Cloud. Which was spotted by Superannuation, the domain names are registered to a Gaikai system administrator and IT manager.
this comes after Sony acquired the cloud gaming company Gaikai last year for $380 million to build a new cloud service combining all of Gaikai’s resources with Sony’s. A new Wall Street Journal report suggests that the Playstation will be backwards compatible, which will in turn allow gamers to stream PlayStation 3 titles.
On the other hand a Sony representative was not available to comment at this time.
Sony is of course expected to announce the PlayStation 4 tomorrow at its special 2013 PlayStation Meeting, which will begin at 3 p.m. PST/6 p.m. EST.
